W edycji 4/24 European Kukai wzięło udział 262 uczestników z 43 krajów. Cieszy zarówno wysoka frekwencja, jak i dobry poziom nadesłanych haiku. Tym razem haijini wybrali:

pierwsze miejsce dla „bezchmurnego” haiku z Antypodów: Julia Wakefield (Australia)

     a cloudless day
     gulls stitch the cliff edge
     to the ocean

                    bezchmurny dzień
                    mewy zszywają krawędź klifu
                    do oceanu

Dwa drugie miejsca ex equo dla Rity Odeh z Izraela
     Gaza’s sky
     falling into the rising smoke
     the setting sun

                    niebo nad Gazą
                    zanurza się w dymie
                    zachodzące słońce

oraz Zorana Doderovića z Serbii
     morning dew
     my old shoes
     shine like news

                    poranna rosa
                    moje stare buty
                    błyszczą jak nowe

Trzecie miejsce przypadło Eleonore Nickolay z Francji za haiku
     first day on the beach
     the child is digging a hole
     for the ocean

                    pierwszy dzień na plaży
                    dziecko kopie dziurę
                    do oceanu

W kukai brało udział 14 autorów z Polski. Bardzo wysokie, 7 miejsce przyznano
Eugeniuszowi Zacharskiemu za haiku

262 participants from 43 countries took part in the 4/24 European Kukai edition. We are pleased with both the high attendance and the good quality of haiku. This time, haijini chose:
